Peters VAMC Grounds Section under the VA Police and Motor Pool is currently seeking to purchase this piece of equipment to improve the collection of garbage around the Medical Center perimeter, this machine will also help with the snow removal on the sidewalks since it s going to be equipped with a snow plow. . Background: The majority of the garbage and debris collected by the Grounds section staff is originated around the perimeter of our Medical Center, in other words, it is dumped in our sidewalk by our neighbors. This create a situation where we need a piece of equipment that can be driven on the sidewalks to safely collect that garbage, the john Deere Gator XUV 865M will provide our staff with the flexibility to climb on the sidewalks to collect those material and in addition will give us great help during the winter time with the snow plow. The winter equipment will be also very helpful for our sidewalks inside our facility providing a safer environment for our patients, staff and visitors.
