BACKGROUND: Audiometers, VNG and CDP it has been one of our fundamental assessment tools in the differential diagnosis of hearing/balance disorders involving the peripheral and/or central auditory/vestibular nervous system. This practice has a multifaceted, multidisciplinary diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology program and this equipment will enable us to continue to provide outstanding, state of the art care for our veterans and will replace an outdated system that is now overdue for replacement. 2. OBJECTIVES: The GSI Audio Star Pro audiometers are intended to replace older units overdue for replacement. This state of the art two channel diagnostic audiometer and related modules offer a full array of very frequently requested complete audiological evaluations as well as sound field functional gain and other measurements as needed. This equipment offers optimal flexibility and efficiency as well as diagnostic utility. The GSI Audio Star Pro audiometers were trialed by physicians, who found this system best suited to support the mission. The Interacoustics VE525 system is intended to replace the Neurokinetics VNG system which was acquired 2007 and due for replacement four years ago in 2017. This state of the art videonystagmography system and related modules offer a full array of frequently requested peripheral and central vestibular assessments. This integrated, PC based equipment offers optimal flexibility and efficiency as well as diagnostic utility. This Bertec Balance Advantage Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) System will replace our Neurocom Smart Equitest System Serial # EQ0569 ID # TW070713-019; (EE#s 34150, 34605, 52760) acquired 11/20/07. Replacement Date 11/20/17. No longer functional or serviceable. This state-of-the-art functional balance assessment system will be a part of our multidisciplinary balance diagnostic and rehabilitation program and enable us to continue to provide world class care to our veteran's struggling with balance disorders of various etiologies. The contractor is advised in performing contract administration functions, the CO may use the services of a support contractor(s) retained by VA to assist in assessing the contractor's compliance with the limitations on subcontracting or percentage of work performance requirements specified in the clause. To that end, the support contractor(s) may require access to contractor's offices where the contractor's business records or other proprietary data are retained and to review such business records regarding the contractor's compliance with this requirement. All support contractors conducting this review on behalf of VA will be required to sign an Information Protection and Non-Disclosure and Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest Agreement to ensure the contractor's business records or other proprietary data reviewed or obtained in the course of assisting the CO in assessing the contractor for compliance are protected to ensure information or data is not improperly disclosed or other impropriety occurs.
