This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bath, NY VA Medical Centers intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 Competition Requirements and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Clark Equipment Company dba Bobcat Company 250 E. Beaton Drive West Fargo ND 58078 The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price contract with a base year and zero option years to acquire Bobcat T66 Track Loader, P69 Performance Package, C68 Comfort Package, Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC), 12.6" Multi Bar Lug Track, 5 Link Torsion Suspension, 74" Severe Duty Bucket, Landscape Rake 6B, 18" Planer, High Flow, and Drum 18 Fastcut. According to the manufacturer, there is only one authorized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Distributor. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 333924 Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing and the size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes; however all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on May 11, 2021. Responses to be submitted to Charles Collins, Contracting Officer at Charles.Collins@va.gov.
