This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about February 15, 2021 to abate and replace the flooring in BLDG 36 and 118 as well as the connecting corridor at the Canandaigua VAMC. Project No. 528A5-21-505. Building 36 and 118 are located on the North end of the campus. The existing flooring is 12 x12 VCT tile glued with black mastic. All flooring called out in the drawings is to abated. The areas to be abated are the ground floors of 36 and 118 as well as the connected corridor between the two buildings, approximately 6000 SF of flooring and approximately 1600 linear feet of cove base. Access to the ground floor must remain available throughout the duration of the project unless the contractor requests and gets approval for off tour work at the discretion of the COR. The contractor is responsible for providing an approved abatement plan with phasing called out to the COR. All federal, state, and local building and safety codes MUST be followed. All work is to be completed in the phases as shown on the plan documents unless otherwise directed by the facility/COR. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $39.5 M. The cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
