The US Dept. of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for general construction services to replace the interior windows in two medical units at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, New York 11768. This is a requirement as per the Mental Health Facilities Design Guide (Rev 12/1/2017) and the mitigation is to be done in the interest of patient safety. The requirement will be issued as a Service-disabled Veteran-Owned Small business (SDVOSB) set-aside in accordance with Public Law 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 and VAAR 819.203-70. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 and the Business Size is $39.5 million. The solicitation will be electronically posted at the beta.sam.gov Website on or about November 18, 2020, with a receipt of proposals at a minimum of thirty (30 days) calendar days. There is expected to be a pre-proposal site walk-through. Project completion 60 calendar days from notice to proceed. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation shall be electronically. All prospective offers must be currently registered in www.sam.gov, www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet) and be registered and verified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
