Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bronx VA Medical Center, is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the following services for Bronx VAMC. Scope of Work The service contract is a fixed price and includes preferred service and call scheduling. Protect Premium Service Agreement: · One (1)* preventative maintenance inspection per agreement year. This includes all labor and travel associated with conducting this PM inspection visit. · All labor and travel related charges associated with any service visit in addition to the PM visit as may be required during the contract year, is included. · All covered replacement parts · 10% Discount on Consumable Purchases. · 10% Discount on Instrument Upgrades · Software version upgrades when available for LSM, EM and XRM service agreements (excludes platform upgrades) · Scheduled and emergency service performed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday excluding Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC holidays. · Factory trained Customer Support Engineers · Software Version Updates for (Protect Premium LSM, EM and X-Ray Service Agreements only) Software version upgrades are available on an as-issued basis and will be offered upon request. Premium LSM / LightSheet / ELYRA / ConfoCor System Coverage includes: ZEISS Hardware: Microscope; Scan Module(s); Spectral Detector; NDDs; Laser Module(s); Electronics Controller; System Table System Computer: Coverage is limited to ZEISS computers purchased no longer than five years prior to this agreement. Stand-alone workstation and storage PCs are not covered. The coverage is limited to the restoration of the system functionality and does not include the recovery of lost data or non-ZEISS software. Customer is responsible for routine PC maintenance; including data backup and removal of data from the Hard Drive to prevent overfill which may cause system malfunctions. Problems caused by customer intervention (e.g. deleted system files, failures due to hardware changes) are not covered. ZEISS Software: Software version upgrades are available on an as-issued basis and will be offered upon request. The software upgrade will pertain to minor version upgrades (i.e. 2.0 to 2.1) and do not include platform upgrades (i.e. 1.x to 2.x). The software installation will be covered under the service agreement, however standard time and material rates will apply for the installation of 3rd party software and software upgrades to all off-line workstations. Additional System Configurations: All systems are uniquely configured to your needs. Should your instrument contain any of the following additional components, it is necessary to purchase additional coverage for these components: Additional Microscopes; EM-CCD; AiryScan; GaAsP Detector; APD Detector; BiG Detector; NLO Laser Optic; DuoScan; Standard Detection (Light Sheet); PCO Edge Detection (Light Sheet); Temp Control (Light Sheet) Lasers: UV (Coherent, 355nm); InTune; 405/440nm Diode Lasers. Lasers not purchased from ZEISS are not covered unless specified in this agreement (i.e. Coherent or SP NLO Laser) The contractor shall conduct the following tasks: 1.1 Description ZEISS will provide the service(s) ( Service(s) ) described on the Coverage Details section of the Signature Page. 1.2 Preventative Maintenance. If specified under Coverage Details and for Agreements with a Coverage Period longer than 6 months, ZEISS will provide preventative maintenance ( PM ) for the Equipment; PM will include those actions that ZEISS deems necessary to ensure the Equipment performs properly. PM is provided during Normal Hours and may be provided concurrently with a remedial maintenance visit. 1.3 Time of Service Service(s) will be provided during ZEISS s normal working hours (i.e. 8:00 AM 5:00 PM local time Monday through Friday, except ZEISS recognized holidays)( Normal Hours ). At the Customer s request, ZEISS can provide Service(s) outside of Normal Hours, subject to charges for overtime labor (with a minimum 2 hour labor charge), travel and expenses. 1.4 Covered Replacement Part(s). As included in the Coverage Details, ZEISS will provide the covered replacement parts required to perform the Service(s) ( Part(s) ). Part(s) may be new or rebuilt, at ZEISS s discretion, but will always meet original Equipment specifications. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing via email and must be received no later than April 24, 2020. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 811219. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to providers (sellers) capable of supporting this facility. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, and examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to DUNS number, address, and point of contact.
