1. On p. 3 of the Sol., the Statement of Work states: Work will include: 100% inspection of building 1, including above ceiling, which will Often, VA Statement of Conditions surveys require an inspection of 10% of fire rated walls above the ceiling (a representative sample). Please confirm that the VA Albany requires inspection of 100% of the fire rated walls above the ceiling, including both sides, even in-patient areas. Response: YES 100% 2. On p. 4 of the Sol., the Statement of Work states: C. Provided by VA Site personnel to coordinate inspection activities. Provide ladders, and infection control cubes to allow for safe inspection access Where do infection control cubes need to be used? Response: In all critical areas when more than 1 ceiling tile is removed at a time. @ 50% of the building is deemed critical, but as long as you only remove one ceiling tile at a time no cube is necessary. 3. On p. 4 of the Sol., the Statement of Work states: D. Period of Performance Work shall begin within 1 month of notice to proceed and take no longer than 3 months to complete. Data analysis and final report is required within 3 weeks of completed inspections. With only 3 weeks from inspection to final report, there won t be time for a draft report or VA review. Please confirm that the VA desires to only receive a final report. Response: We are willing to work with vendor so we can have a draft report for review. 4. Are we to document the fire alarm devices, stand pipe locations, smoke detection and all other items noted in section A? Response: Yes 5. Are we to provide updated Life Safety Drawings to VA Albany too? Response: Yes 6. Based on the below scope are we to document the fire alarm devices on the drawings and all other items noted in A. scope. Response: Yes 7. Also, are we to update the life safety prints for the VA or just make recommendations based on our field survey? If so, I assume we will be provided AutoCAD files? Response: Update the life safety prints, we have our 2009 prints.
