Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the preventative maintenance services on the Security Gates, Wedge Barriers and all associated equipment located at the Manhattan VA Medical Center. Authority: Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices. Description New York Harbor Health Care System (NYHHCS) has a need for quarterly preventive maintenance services on security gates and wedge barriers (and all associated equipment) at the Manhattan VA Medical Center. Services shall comply with the original end manufacturer s manuals and warranty requirements (Guardiar/ formerly SecureUSA, Inc). Equipment to be serviced: Wedge Barriers: 3 High-Security Vehicle Barricades of recessed mounted Wedge type (3600 Series Wedge Barrier) 5 EPUs and Controls 11 Loops and Detectors 3 Barrier Indicator Light Sets Security Gates: 3 HY-Security Swing Riser 19 Twin Power Unit 1 Hy-Security Slide Driver 40 4 Ornamental Metal Vehicular Swing Gates, Gate A has 2 Operators 1 Cantilever Crash Rated Sliding Gate with Accessories 5 Ornamental Pedestrian Gate and Accessories Place of Performance: Department of Veterans Affairs York Harbor Health Care System (NYHHCS) 423 E 23 Street New York, NY 10010-5011 Competitive Acquisition: This will be a competitive acquisition, with a Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside. Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price. Period of Performance: This acquisition contains a 12-month base period with four (4) Option Years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The total contract period of performance is 5 years. Government-Furnished Property/Equipment: None noted at this time. Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that Solicitation No. 36C24220Q0058 will be released November 11, 2019. These commercial maintenance services are being procured to support commercial items customarily used by the general public, per commercial item definition FAR 2.101.
