This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about February 13, 2020 for Fuel Line and Tank Replacement at the Canandaigua ... This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about February 13, 2020 for Fuel Line and Tank Replacement at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. Project No. 528A5-19-505. The general scope of this project is to provide a new, code-compliant system for a backup supply of fuel oil. The contractor is responsible to remove existing tanks and provide a new tank. This project will involve the install of new piping from the new tanks to Building 12 as well as installation of new pumps. Temporary fuel storage will be provided throughout the project. A fuel unloading area is to be installed under the project. The Canandaigua VAMC is a campus facility with many (more than 30) buildings located on over 200 acres. Many of the facility buildings are included on the historic register. Fuel leakage was found in the underground pipes that run from the tanks to Building 12 and the pipes have since been capped and removed and the area remediated. There are numerous construction projects on-going at the Canandaigua VAMC. This work will need to be deconflicted with other contractors as required. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses . The NAICS code is 238220. The small business standard is $36.5 M. The cost range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
