The VA Network Contracting Office 1 is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing full maintenance, testing, inspection, repair, and 24/7 emergency service for fire alarm, fire hydrant, fire pump, fire suppression, and sprinkler systems. Performance locations include the Providence VA Medical Center at 830 Chalkstone Avenue and 20 Regent Avenue, Providence, RI, and the CBOC New Bedford facility at 175 Elm Street, New Bedford, MA. The work requires on-site emergency response within two hours, quarterly fire alarm inspections/tests, annual fire hydrant flow testing on a Saturday in September, and semi-annual fire suppression inspections in July and January. Contractors must provide certified/licensed technicians with experience on Notifier/ONYX Works, Simplex 4100U, and applicable Kidde Fenwal/Pyro Chem systems, and must comply with NFPA and VA/Joint Commission requirements.
