The VA Network Contracting Office 1 is seeking a contractor to remove existing lift systems and install 25 Guldmann brand-name-or-equal patient ceiling lift systems at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford VA Medical Center, 200 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730. The scope includes XY/traverse ceiling lift systems for 3m x 3m, 4m x 4m, and 4m x 3m coverage areas; hoists rated at least 605 lb; hand controls; medium hanger bars; continuous in-rail charging; and one body-weight support/rehabilitation module. Contractor duties include Guldmann-certified installation, manufacturer-trained personnel, PE-sealed structural/seismic design, ICRA Level II support, waste removal, load/weight testing and certification, and technical, operational, administrative, and troubleshooting training. Evaluation factors are technical capability, past performance, Veterans’ involvement, price, warranty, and speed of delivery, with award intended under simplified commercial procedures as a firm-fixed-price contract. Work must comply with VA safety, privacy, security, and site rules at the Bedford, MA facility.
