The VA requires strand-specific RNA-sequencing services for 269 government-furnished human choroid plexus total RNA samples, including QC, rRNA-depletion library preparation, Illumina paired-end 2x150bp sequencing at 60 million read pairs per sample, and delivery of FASTQ files with QC reports. Performance will occur at the successful contractor’s laboratory facility, with samples shipped from the VA Bedford Healthcare System. The period of performance is one year from award, and all services and final data delivery must be completed within 23–28 business days after receipt of all samples as one batch. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 541714 and will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror.
