J046--Installation and Maintenance for Water Monitoring System at the Bedford VA Medical Center
The amendment provides responses to questions about using proprietary equipment, clarifying that bidders may offer their own water monitoring hardware and analytics platform if they meet the requirements of VA Directive 1061. The hardware must operate above 124°F, be installed on copper plumbing in seven patient-care buildings, and monitor pH, residual biocide, turbidity, and pressure. The software must offer continuous data logging, out-of-range alerts, cloud-based real-time access, historical data storage per VA cybersecurity standards, compliance reporting, and automatic trending. The awarded contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing proprietary system. The assigned NAICS code will not be changed.
