The six elevators were inspected by enDevelopment LLC for deficiencies and the report is included in the contract briefcase. The elevators are identified as Building 06 Car P 1, Building 07 Car P 1, Building 09 Car P 1, Building 10 Car P 1, Building 62 Car F 1, and Building 62 Car P 1. SCOPE: The scope of this project consists of completely preparing site for building operations including replacement of elevator components and machinery to bring elevators up to modern code compliance. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials and perform work for one traction passenger elevator each in Buildings 6, 7, and 62 for a total of three (3) traction elevators, hydraulic elevator each in Buildings 9, 10, and 62 for a total of three (3) hydraulic elevators at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford MA. The period of performance (type A and B services) is 595 calendar days, beginning with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) by the Contracting Officer. The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this announcement. The NAICS code is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors and the small business size standard is $22 million per year. Note, the specialty NAICS code will require the prime to perform at least 25% of the work. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.
