Page 1 of 2 650-18-008 Building 9 (B9) HVAC Access Platforms Procurement Number: 36C24124R0097 - Design/Build PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to synopsize an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. It is anticipated that a Design/Build Request for Proposal (RFP) will be published to Contract Opportunities on or around July 29, 2024. This pre-solicitation notice is associated with Sources Sought number 36C24124Q0647, which was published to https://www.sam.gov/SAM/, on 6/20/2024. WORK SITE AND CONTRACT TYPE: The VA Providence Healthcare System (VAPHS), 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract, for Design-Build Services to construct and install two maintenance platforms with stairs and one additional access stair that leads to an existing platform for the Building 9 (B9) Chiller Units, located at the VAPHS. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK (Design-Build): Construction services include design, fabrication and installation, including all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to construct and install two maintenance platforms with stairs and one additional access stair to existing platform for the Building 9 Chiller Units. The purpose of the platforms is to allow access to the compressor sections of the Chiller units and the additional stairs is to allow access to existing platform. The Chiller Units are Northeast of building 9 across Air Force Drive, located on the VA Providence Healthcare System (VAPHS) campus, 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI 02908. Note: the attached drawing is for reference only. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated Period of Performance is 120 calendar days after VA s written issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP). NAICS: The anticipated NAICS code for this Project is 236220Â - Commercial and Industrial Building Construction. Size Standard $45 million. SET ASIDE: It is anticipated that this procurement will be issued as a total SDVOSB set-aside; however, the VA reserves the right to issue as a total VOSB set-aside if there are not enough qualified and capable SDVOSB firms to participate in this procurement. SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert): Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov) MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: is between $25,000 and $100,000.
