Project #402-21-709 - Replace Elevators 200 200E VA Medical Center Maine, Togus Campus Procurement Number: 36C24124R0032 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about December 15, 2023. This notice is being posted to satisfy necessary posting requirements. This requirement was previously posted under Solicitation #36C24123R0075. The VA Medical Center Maine, Togus Campus has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. This project will involve repairs and replacement of the elevator system in Building 200 and 200E at VAMC Togus. The contractor shall provide construction services to renovate S1-S5 elevator cabs, entrances and replace associated mechanical and electrical drive components including but not limited to motors, controllers, TUG interface, drive brakes, rope brakes, drive ropes, governors, & buffers. All work will be done at the VA Medical Center, Togus Campus in Augusta, ME. In general, work shall include all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to perform the required mechanical, electrical, and programmatic work. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. The Period of Performance for this project is 915 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238290 and the size standard is $22.0 Million. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under FAR Part 15. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
