This is not a solicitation. Please note this pre-solicitation was previously sent out on 10/03/2023 with NAICS 334516 and a size standard of 1000 and is being reposted with an update to NAICS 811210 with a size standard of 34 million dollars. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for 5 years with Leica Microsystems Inc.,10 Parkway North, Suite 300, Deerfield, IL 60015, to obtain preventative maintenance and service including all repair parts, labor, and travel as needed on the existing Leica ASP300 Tissue Processor system in the VISN 1 NC-PTSD Brain Bank lab. Leica Microsystems Inc is currently the sole source provider of services, parts, support, and warranty on the ASP 300 Tissue Processor. Due to Leica Microsystems Inc being the current manufacturer, they are the only authorized vendors certified to provide services on this equipment. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The applicable NAICS code is 811210 with a size standard of 34 million dollars. The PSC is J066. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
