402-23-002S Abate and Renovate B67, VA Medical Center Togus, ME Procurement Number: 36C24124B0036 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An Invitation for Bids will be posted on or about May 16, 2024. The VA Medical Center (VAMC) Togus located in Augusta, ME has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a specialty contractor to provide management, including all associated labor, equipment, materials, mailing costs and inspections to meet the requirements of this contract. The general scope of this project is to include, but not limited to, removal and abatement of all lead paint from interior flooring and exterior walls and trim. Exterior walls and trim of building is to be prepped, primed and repainted. Removal and abatement of all mold contaminated surfaces and fixtures from interior and exterior of the building. Investigation and repair of steam leak issue. Demolition and replacement of the existing doors and windows. The magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238290 and the size standard is $19.0 million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
