Presolicitation Notice 518-23-320: Bldg. #78 Ambulatory Chiller Replacement Procurement Number: 36C24124B0012 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about November 16, 2023 with an expected proposal due date of December 15, 2023. The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, also known as Bedford VAMC, located in Bedford, MA, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price construction contract that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform chiller unit/RTU replacement in Building #78 project in accordance with the Contract Documents and the attached SOW. The project's main goal is to get rid of the current packed unit/RTU. This covers the removal of the old unit, the purchase and installation with similar cooling capacity as the old unit, as well as startup and training. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $45 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
