Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice of intent to solicit a single firm identified below and to award a sole source contract the same firm. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract with Tasso, Inc., 1631 15th AVE W STE 105, SEATTLE, WA 98119 USA (UEI JF2AG84MNZ77). The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain Tasso+ single-use blood lancing devices intended for obtaining microliter capillary whole blood samples (manufacture part number: K221131), to include distribution and tracking services. Services will be rendered to the VA Boston Healthcare System, from an estimated/anticipated Period of Performance from March 2023 through five years thereafter. Because Tasso, Inc., is the only vendor/contractor that can provide Tasso+ Kits with distribution and tracking, this acquisition will not be competed. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities SAM.gov. The NAICS is 541614. The size standard is $20,000,000.00. The PSC is R706. In accordance with VAAR 812.3 Solicitation Provisions and Contract Clauses, this procurement is subject to prohibitions in VAAR 852.212-71 Gray Market Items and to 852.212-72 Gray Market and Counterfeit Items. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Contracting Officer determines the most advantageous procurement strategy based on market research and other information, including the results, if any of this notice.
