The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for two Zeiss Discovery V8 Microscope Systems from Micro-Tech Optical, Zeiss authorized distributor for New England for the VA West Haven Healthcare System. It is the VA s intent to purchase on a sole source basis from Micro-Tech Optical as they are the only Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC authorized distributor for this system in the required delivery area. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The applicable NAICS code is 333314 with a 500 employee size standard. The PSC is 6650. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
