This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain a contractor to install an Ansul gas valve system cutoff valve that can be used to shut off gas supply line to the kitchen located in West Haven, CT. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: This project will install an Ansul gas valve system cutoff valve that can be used to shut off gas supply line to the kitchen located in West Haven VA Bldg. 1, Ground Floor. Unit currently has an Ansul Discharge system but was not installed with proper gas cut off. Location of Services: West Haven VAMC 950 Campbell Ave VA Building 1 (Kitchen) G 275 in bldg. 1 West Haven, CT 06516-2770 The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and disposal necessary to complete this requirement: Vendor shall: Supply and install mechanical 2 ½ Ansul gas valve for a Ansul R-102 Fire suppression system Electrician to wire in shutoff controls to Ansul gas valve and integrate into the existing Johnson Controls monitoring system Test valve and control system to verify functionality All installations will meet NFPA 99, 101, 17A, 70E and VA Standards/specs.
