Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Rebuilding of Two (2) - Taco Water Pumps TA1024 Split Case units This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain a contractor to rebuild and reinstall two (2) Taco Water Pumps TA1024 Split Case units for the West Haven VAMC location. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: 1. Scope: This project is to completely rebuild two (2) Taco Water Pumps TA1024 Split Case units. The rebuild shall include reinstallation and activation verification with the assistance of the VA HVAC shop. 2. Location of Services: West Haven VAMC 950 Campbell Ave B-2 G140 West Haven, CT 06516-2770 3. Schedule: The contractor shall pickup and complete the Installation between the hours of 7:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday. 4. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and disposal necessary to complete this requirement: Vendor shall: The pumps have already been removed and will require the contractor to visit the site location to pick up the equipment. The complete overhaul of the pumps will be offsite at your location. Pump overhaul to include the following hardware: Thrust and journal bearings Case wear rings Mechanical seals Gaskets & O-rings Case hardware SS shaft and bronze sleeves Pump to motor coupling Install a Missing bearing end cap on pump # 1 Pump overhaul to include the following Services: Page 2 of 2 Pump removal and installation Disassemble, clean, and inspect to OEM standards Sandblast interior and exterior External epoxy paint and internal ceramic epoxy coating Dynamic balance of the rotating element Shop pressure test When completed, reinstall and test pumps to verify functionality.
