Performance Work Statement (PWS) Design and Content Introduction The VA Maine HCS requires five Reliance FX-920 Full-Power Tilt Exam Chairs for the Eye clinic at Togus. Background As patient demand increases, VA Maine strives to provide the highest quality and most efficient care to our veterans. Continuously looking to improve the eye clinic, we have identified multiple of our Reliance chairs that are past their life cycle, therefore we are looking to upgrade to the newest power chair from Reliance. Scope (Provide an overview of the PWS emphasizing the most important aspects of your requirement and defining the boundaries of the contractor s performance responsibilities). This project will provide five State of the Art Reliance FX-920 Full-Power Tilt Exam Chairs. The new Exam Chairs have finger switches and a corded footswitch raise, lower or tilt chair into position without breaking patient contact, or jolting patients. This includes an auto-return button returns patient upright. The backlit membrane switches last 10-times longer than their mechanical counterparts and they re also safer because they run at low voltages. Also the exam chair has programmable safety function prevents unwanted operation of the chair. This is the standard of care outside the VA and with essential features as; FX-920 Full Power Tilt Exam Chair Memory programming cuts wasted movement and improves efficiency.
