The following clarification information is being added:Â Â This is not the TJC (The Joint Commission) or NFPA required fire and smoke damper maintenance and testing, this is as stated in the SOW a contract to locate and document the existence of the fire and smoke dampers. The previously completed TJC/NFPA report is very out of date and numerous projects have been completed since the last report rendering any lists or compiled documents inaccurate and incomplete. Â Refer to SOW (excerpt below) for ICRA information, if the conditions in the SOW are followed, no containment booth should be required, IC risk assessment attached for record: Only two ceiling tiles at a time may be dislodged as part of the survey effort. No open ceiling tile/access panel or ladder may be left unattended. Do not open ceiling tiles in a patient space while patient is in the space. Coordinate with the COR when ceiling tiles need to be accessing in occupied inpatient spaces. Cover working surfaces with plastic in the following areas prior to opening ceiling tiles or access panels. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to solicit for the following service: Fire and Smoke Damper Location Survey The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Priced contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsive offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the government in terms of price and other considered factors. The solicitation will be set aside for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses that have the capability to fulfill this requirement. Solicitation 36C24122Q0481 will be available for download on May 4, 2022.
