This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Griffin Chapman Environmental, Inc. (DBA TempArmour Refrigeration); 530 Seaman St., Suite 6; Stoney Creek, ON; L8E 3X7, Canada. UEI: KH4KJDWLKLB7 The lack of vaccine refrigerator units place VA Connecticut at risk of medication/vaccine wastage due to temperature excursion in medication storage areas (clinics/units) that are not staffed 24/7. Pharmaceutical grade vaccine refrigerators are required for continuous temperature monitoring and minimal loss of refrigerated medications/vaccines due to loss of power in areas not supported by emergency power. Because Griffin Chapman Environmental is the only contractor that can provide the TempArmour vaccine refrigerator units, this acquisition will not be competed. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities SAM.gov. The NAICS is 333415. The size standard is 1,250 employees. The PSC/FSC is 4110. This procurement is subject to prohibitions in VAAR 852.212-71 Gray Market Items and in 852.212-72 Gray Market and Counterfeit Items. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
