The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with:   OLYMPUS AMERICA INC. 48 Woerd Ave Ste 105 Waltham, MA 02453-3824 ueiSAM: P159MYHGYMX5 This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate to purchase Microscope BX53 Multihead against Olympus s GSA contract # GS-07F-5933R. Items to be delivered to 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI 02908 at VAMC Providence. The contractor will provide the required parts and labor. Olympus is the only vendor/contractor that can provide the supplies required to remain compliant with the existing system, this acquisition will not be competed. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  The NAICS 334519. The size standard is 500 employees.
