The system must meet the manufacturer s specifications and be designed and implemented within the vendors 510K system design as an FDA regulated medical device/system. This monitor stores data and is equipped to download to a thumb drive and then uploaded into Vista Imaging. OIT has been contacted and our department has been given five IRONKEY (FIPS 140-2 USB3.0/USB 2.0) thumb drives and will be given to Clinical Engineering to configure the thumb drives to the monitors all protected health information will be stored on. The vendor will as part of their project plan outline a timeline for implementing the project for the Eye Clinic in the Portland VA Maine Healthcare System.
