Small Business Size Standard: 1250 employees Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price Period of Performance: Base Request for Information (RFI) should be submitted via email no later than 4pm CST Friday March 18th, 2022 to ralf.pietzsch@va.gov INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW The Veterans Construction Team (VCT), to provide continued vocational rehabilitative services to veterans, requires the purchase of construction materials and equipment in support of the program. The Veterans Construction Team, VCT requests the purchase of one skid-steer loader for the renovation of various VCT projects. 1.1 BACKGROUND The Dept. of Veterans Affairs Veterans Construction Team (VCT) provides unique training and rehabilitative opportunities to veterans within their program. VCT partners with various federal, state, and municipal agencies to conduct construction and renovation projects throughout New England to help provide these services to veterans. Purchases of materials and specialized equipment such as those outlined below are key to the satisfactory completion of these projects. 1.2 SCOPE The scope of this contract shall be the acquisition of a Bobcat (or equivalent) skid-steer loader equipped with P22 performance package and C23 comfort package, delivered to Edith Nourse, at the Rogers VA Medical Center, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730. 1.3 OBJECTIVES The sole objective is to secure the acquisition of the equipment described below from a qualified vendor who has all means necessary to deliver the equipment of the type described, in a single delivery, within the stated period of performance and at a fair and reasonable cost to federal government. 2.0 REQUIREMENTS 2.1 TASKS Confirm, within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of contract award, that the vendor can deliver the equipment to the site, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA 01730, within thirty (30) calendar days of date of contract award. Provide delivery of all equipment in new condition, complete and undamaged, to 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA during regular business hours, 0800-1400 Monday through Friday. Provide written manufacturer warranty for equipment. Provide a single copy of all product data and manuals for the equipment specified. Coordinate delivery with representative of Veterans Construction Team twenty-four (24) hours in advance of delivery. All materials must be included in a single delivery. Order must be complete, without backorders. Provide written confirmation of receipt at the time of delivery. ITEM 2 Performance Package, Part #M0275-P06-P22 2.1 Power Bob Tach 2.2 2-Speed ITEM 3 Comfort Package, Part #M0275-P07-C23 3.1 Enclosed Cab with AC/Heat 3.2 Sound Reduction 3.3 Cab Accessories 3.4 Standard Panel 3.5 Adjustable Suspension Seat ITEM 4 Joystick Package, Part #M0275-R01-C04 ITEM 5 Type 80 Heavy Duty Bucket 5.1 80hd bucket an edge 5.2 install radio and camera All items must be new, absent defect, ready to operate. 2.3 SCHEDULE The period of performance shall begin on the date of award of the contract and shall continue through thirty (30) calendar days from the date of contract award. 2.4 ASSUMPTIONS The award of this contract assumes that the successful vendor has the required equipment and attachments available for shipment within the stated period of performance and in the required amounts. 3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY The government shall provide, through the Veterans Construction Team, the means by which the delivered materials shall be removed from the shipping vehicle and for proper storage. 4.0 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS The VA Medical Center is a federal facility. No admittance shall be allowed without prior arrangement through the Veterans Construction Team. The vendor must contact the Veterans Construction Team, at least twenty-four (24) hours before delivery of materials so that arrangements for access to the facility can be made.
