Project Title: Certified Underground Storage Tank (UST) Piping Sump Repair Purpose: Notice of Intent to Sole Source NAICS: 237110 PSC: J046 Estimated Dollar Threshold: Over Micro-Purchase Threshold but Not Exceeding the SAT ($250K) Purpose: This is not a Request for Proposal (solicitation). The purpose of this Intent to Award notice is to inform any interested parties that Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source RFQ to LaMountain Brothers, Inc. LaMountain Brothers is a Certified Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), and the Company is certified by the State of Rhode Island, Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) to install and maintain USTs. Work Location: Work will take place at the Providence, Rhode Island VA Medical Center (VAMC) Anticipated Work Requirements: The required work will include but may not be limited to the removal and disposal of approximately 36 SF of concrete around the sump at grade and any contaminated soil that may be identified during the excavation phase of the work; which is needed to support the replacement of a piping containment sump and associated fittings for a 2,500-gallon diesel Underground Storage Tank (UST) which currently serves as the emergency backup power generator for Building 10 Boiler Plant. Certification Requirements: The Rhode Island, Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) is the certifying body for the requirement that successful contractor use CSI certified Tanks and be certified to maintain the CSI manufactured Tanks. Anticipated Period of Performance (POP): Approximately thirty (30) Calendar Days Response Due Date: 17 November 2021, 2:00 PM EST Interested Parties Responses: Interested persons who possess the certification requirements to perform both portions of the work (installation and maintenance) should contact the Contract Specialist Pearl Wray, at Pearl.Wray@va.gov. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VA Contracting Officer.
