An invitation for bids will be posted on or about June 21, 2022. The VA Central Western Massachusetts (CWM) requires a contractor to provide professional services to carry out a multi-phased construction for the requirements of the Renovate Building 6, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Roof project in Leeds, MA. This includes the renovation and modernizing of the building with the primary intent to construct new information technology (IT) rooms, upgrading the existing structure s facilities, overhauling the HVAC system, and replacing the entire slate roof. This work will also encompass asbestos abatement, new electrical services, technology upgrades, replacing the ceilings and flooring throughout, and the security systems. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $39.5 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
