The objective of the project design is the design of a replacement potable water heating system in Buildings 3, 5, 6, 8, 61, 62, 78, and 82. The current potable water heating systems throughout campus is unreliable and provides no ability to be tied into the building controls system. The intent of this project is to replace this outdated domestic water heater system with a new semi- instantaneous domestic water heating system with controls ability and system redundancy. The new system shall be appropriately sized, have a redundant unit, and provide controls to reduce energy and improve efficiency. The design Period of Performance (type A and B services) is 240 days. The 240 days is calendar days and shall begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the Contracting Officer.
