The Department of Veterans Affairs Boston VAMC, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with TRILLAMED LLC for Pharmacy Equipment. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description Refer to the attached statement of work. VA Boston Healthcare System has a requirement to purchase 40 pharmaceutical grade purpose-built refrigerators for use throughout the healthcare system for proper storage of vaccines and medications. Salient Characteristics The refrigerators must meet the following criteria: Purpose-built for storage of medication and vaccines to meet Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines Visual and audible temperature alarms for temperatures out of set range Audible alarm for sensor disruption, power failure and open door Equipped with a keyed lock Automatic defrost with adjustable cycle defrost Adjustable temperature controls between +2 to +8ºC Ability for alarm forwarding to an external remote system Capacity 6.0 cu. ft. ADA compatible height Shelving will be wire and adjustable Inclusion of digital thermostat Must have interior light Inclusion of two-year parts and labor warranty Inclusion of five-year compressor warranty This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 8/17/2021, C.O.B. Responses should be sent to Yvonne.Watson@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures as authorized by FAR 13-106-1(b).
