This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Nikon Instruments Inc., 1300 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, NY 11747 to obtain Confocal Add-on to existing microscope and software updates for the VA Boston Healthcare PTSD Brain Bank. Due to the proprietary nature of the software, Nikon Instruments Inc. is the only vendor that can provide the software and the Confocal add-on for the existing microscope. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Beta-SAM. The applicable NAICS code is 333314 with a 1250 employee size standard. The PSC is 6640. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
