Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334310: Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The VA Boston Healthcare System (BHS) the new Research building at the Jamaica Plain campus, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston MA 02130 is seeking to purchase install, and make operational Audiovisual (AV) systems with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) in conference rooms and offices All interested companies shall provide quotations for the following: Performance Work Statement (PWS) JP, Research Addition AV Systems  Introduction Purchase approximately ½ of the equipment, install, and make operational Audiovisual (AV) systems with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) in conference rooms and offices at the VA Boston Healthcare System (BHS) the new Research building at the Jamaica Plain campus, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston MA 02130. Background VABHS Research s new building will be done with construction in Fall of 2021. Videoconferencing, electronic meetings and presentations are an important part of any business or scientific endeavor. The national VA s Office of Information Technology (OIT) has a policy of buying some of the needed AV but not all of it. They do not install either. Scope The new Research building at the Jamaica Plain campus, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston MA 02130. See Appendix 1 List of Rooms. (10) conference rooms or offices. Installation and configuration of codec, cabling, speakers, microphones, monitors, touch 10 panels, and licenses. Equipment Specifications: See Appendix 2 Equipment Needed List. The non-IT tab. Install all equipment, including the OIT-provided equipment, to create optimally operational AV systems. Test all equipment and systems Provide 2 sessions of hands-on training and system review with our Research customer/owners. Provide a 1 sheet easy-to-read operational guide. Period of Performance is 30 days. Service onsite within 24 hours on-site during a 1-year warranty period. Deliverables The Contractor will schedule a review of the completed systems with Doug Hagen (Activation Coordinator), Gino Jackson (Research Administrative Officer), and Cale Putnam (Project Engineer) to show them how it works and that it is 100% optimally operational. They must approve of the work before the Contractor gets paid.  Warranty WARRANTY OF CONSTRUCTION: Warrant EPPS System work subject to the Article Warranty of Construction of FAR clause 52.246-21. Warranty to be for 365 days from date of acceptance of the 100% operational systems by the VA. CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS All contractor personnel shall obtain a short-term identification badge issued by the VA Police. Such badge shall be worn by the individual and prominently displayed at all times while on VA Property. No employee of the contractor shall enter the project site without a valid identification badge issued by the VA. In order to obtain a short-term identification badge, contractor personnel shall present to the VA Police a valid (non-expired) photo identification issued by a US federal, state or local government agency. Contractor personnel will be monitored at all times. Contractor personnel will follow all VA and Government rules and regulations.
