Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Obtain a Factory Trained and Authorized John Deere Service Technician with the ability to repair a John Deere 2320 Utility Tractor This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. Please also provide your DUNS number and evidence of being a factory trained and authorized John Deere Service Technician. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain a Factory Trained and Authorized Service Technician with the capability of making repairs to a John Deere 2320 Utility Tractor. All services shall take place at the Contractors repair facility, movement of the tractor to and from repair facility shall be accomplished by the Contractor. Refer to the General Requirements section below for an overview of the requested services. Please note that the general requirements listed here are subject to change. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: Location of John Deere Tractor is: 555 Willard Ave Newington, CT 06111-2631 The Contractor shall: Provide all material, labor, tools, safety equipment and disposal necessary to provide services. This shall include, but not limited to, all personal protective equipment which may be required for the work to be completed in a safe manner. Provide a factory trained and authorized John Deere technician with the technical expertise to make repairs to the identified John Deere 2320 Utility Tractor Provide all equipment, manpower and transportation necessary to transport the John Deere Tractor from the Newington VA to the repair facility and back to the Newington VA once repairs are completed. The Contractor shall coordinate a mutually acceptable pick and delivery date and time in advance with the Newington VA POC. Safeguard the John Deere Tractor while in contractor s possession Remove and replace transmission shaft and associated gaskets, filters and fluids Remove and replace drive shaft and associated hardware Remove and replace 4 fenders and associated hardware Remove and replace cowl and associated hardware Drain, refill and pressure test cooling system Preform oil and filter change Remove and replace inner and outer air filters Preform hydraulic fluid and filter change Remove and replace left and right door frames and associated hardware Remove and replace front axle seals Replace missing console knobs
