This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source award for a 12-month base and three (3) annual option years to obtain the services and support for their Watcher, Inc. NOVA Mobile Virtual Patient Observation Carts. This service will allow to correct any malfunction in the Mobile carts use around the hospital to reduce 1:1 patient sitter, decrease patient falls and injuries and enhance workflow efficiencies to increase patient safety and decrease costs. The Mobile Virtual Patient Observation Carts as well as the service and support programs associated with the equipment are proprietary to Watcher, Inc. It can only be purchased through Watcher, Inc and cannot be purchased through alternate outlets. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The applicable NAICS code is 541511. The FSC/PSC is J063. The authority under 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1) is implemented by restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2).
