This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for an Olympus BX15 Microscope System with Alliant Healthcare Products, 333 Bridge St NW Ste. 1125, Grand Rapids, MI 49504 for the VA West Haven Healthcare System. This is the only complete microscope system that includes an air table, a Faraday cage for electrical insulation, and fluorescence and stimulation light sources and is compatible with existing equipment to meet our research needs. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a 1000 employee size standard. The PSC is 6515. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
