Variable Helical Pitch Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: A sole source award to vendor, Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc., is necessary, based on the fact that the Aquillion Prime SP CT scanner software is proprietary and Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc is the proprietary company and no other vendors software will be compatible. Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc possesses the expertise and familiarity with the equipment as well as a thorough understanding of installation, maintenance and repair procedures. Canon Medical uses LV 1 Enterprises as their sole source SDVOSB distributor and the price increase to $32,721.67 is within the allowable range. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: Emailed vendor to request SDVOSB and discovered LV 1 Enterprises is the sole source SDVOSB for Canon Medical.
