This project is to re-design the existing In-patient Pharmacy IV prep area to bring it into compliance and meet current United States Pharmacopoeia Chapter 797 (USP 797) Pharmaceutical Compounding Sterile Preparations and USP 800 Hazardous Drugs - Handling in Healthcare Settings . The project shall be a complete renovation of the area located in Building 1 Ground Floor at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. The pharmacy to be renovated is approximately 1,410 square feet. Work shall include architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, IT, and all other systems as necessary to completely renovate this space to meet the project objectives. Additionally, phasing, swing space, and off-hours planning shall be evaluated and designed as required to relocate current functions during construction. Impacts to the adjacent area shall be evaluated and minimized for both the final and temporary configurations.
