This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order (PO). The National Center for PTSD Clinical Neurosciences Division s research program is expanding and requires the following piece of equipment in order to meet the needs of the research program. The Amersham Typhoon Gel and Blot Imaging System is required in order to image and precisely quantitate fluorescent, colorimetric, and radiolabeled proteins and nucleic acids. This model allows the user to program multiple functionalities which creates versatility in the machine. Typhoon 5 Biomedical Imager The Typhoon 5 is used with DNA, RNA and protein applications using multi-modality imaging of gels, membranes, multi-well plates, dishes, and tissue sections. The following are the minimum salient characteristics that must be met: TECHNICAL Frequency 50/60 Hz Height 400 mm, no wider than 900 mm Fluorescence imaging Phosphorimaging Densitometry Chemiluminescence (Dark scan) FEATURES Bit Depth of 16-bits Depth of 800 mm 40 x 46 cm scanning area Pixel Size: 10, 25, 50, 100 or 200 m and a 1,000 m pre-scan Dynamic Range >5 orders of magnitude Radioisotopes for phosphorimaging: 3H, 11C, 14C, 125I, 18F, 32P, 33P, 39S, 99mTc, etc. Lasers available to use: LD488, SHG532, LD635, LD685, LD785 Filters available to use: IP Fltr 390BP, Cy2 Fltr 525BP20, Cy3 Fltr 570BP20, Cy5 Fltr 670BP30, IRshort Fltr 720BP20, IRlong Filtr 825BP30 SERVICE White glove delivery service On-site Operator and Maintenance training. Minimum One-year warranty to include parts and labor. Minimum of 2 Operating and Maintenance manuals. The solicitation will be issued as a Small Business (SB) set aside on or about 9/17/2020.
