Due to compatibility with existing systems and the unique capabilities of this specialized equipment, the Department of Veterans Affairs needs to obtain a Sage Scientific DBA Neurophotometrics LLC., brand name multifiber photometry system equipment to match existing Sage Scientific DBA Neurophotometrics LLC., equipment currently in use for PTSD research at the VA Central Office for the National Center for PTSD (NC-PTSD), West Haven, CT. Since this is a small business set aside, a solicitation will be issued to small businesses found during market research and those that demonstrate a capability to provide this brand name equipment in response to this pre-solicitation notice. The applicable NAICS code is 334516. The FSC/PSC is 6640. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1(c) Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for brand name only descriptions.
