NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No Solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price sole source award for 12 months with 3 Option Years to obtain Mapcheck Software Maintenance and support located at the VAMC Boston, MA. Sun Nuclear located at 425A Pineda Court, Melbourne, FL is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this equipment. Due to their proprietary technology, they are the only vendor that will be able to provide Software Support as the Authorized Service Provider. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The applicable North American Classification System Code is 511210 Software Publishers Business size $41.5 million. The FSC/PSC is D319. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Interested parties may identify their interests and capabilities may respond to this requirement by June 23, 2020 at 10:00AM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
