This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source fixed price contract with Akoya Biosciences., 100 Campus Dr. FL 6, Marlborough, MA 01752-3041 to obtain specialized Vectra Polaris Automated Quantitative Pathology Imaging System Equipment for VA Boston Healthcare System. VA Boston Healthcare System requires a state of the art slide-scanning microscopy system as provided by Akoya Biosciences. This requirement includes all hardware components and software required for a microscopy system capable of performing automated high-throughput quantitative light and fluorescence microscopy. The requested equipment and proprietary software will significantly expand both the throughput and the analysis capabilities of on-going and future microscopy work completed by VABHS research. This purchase request is supported by a recently awarded VA ShEEP grant. The required system will to serve as VABHS Research core equipment, and will directly support the microscopy needs of a number of funded VA research projects. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The manufacturer is the sole distributor for this equipment in North America. The applicable NAICS code is 334516. The FSC/PSC is 6640. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
