Road Salt Provision to Bedford VA Medical Center Contractor shall supply and deliver road salt to the Bedford VA Medical Center, located at 200 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730. Product will be delivered upon request of the Grounds Supervisor, to maintain this facilities salt inventory for the snow/ice season. All deliveries will be made during normal business hours (7am-4pm), M-F, unless requested otherwise by the Grounds Supervisor. Deliveries shall be made within 24 hours of the delivery request. The Bedford VA Medical Facility has a salt storage building. Deliveries will be dropped inside the building as close as possible to salt pile, VA Grounds staff will be responsible for restacking the salt after delivery. The product will be a straight road salt, and shall be delivered in 25 ton amounts (Tri-axle dump). This facility s salt storage shed will not accommodate larger loads. A Bill of Lading and a product delivery slip shall be provided for each delivery. All deliveries must be signed on site by the Grounds Supervisor or his/her designee at the time of delivery. Based on the amount used from the 2019/2020 season, it is estimated that the facility could potentially use 350 tons per year. There shall be no changes to this statement of work without prior approval of the Contracting Officer.
