Notice of Intent to Sole Source The proposed contract action is for supplies (a Ti2E Inverted Light Microscope System and related accessories) for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. No NMR waiver is in place for this class of item, no alternate sources were found during market research, and the level of technical sophistication attainable by the Ti2E system (namely field of view capability and super resolution capability for which Nikon holds the patent, among other features) was not found in the makes created by other manufacturers.
