VAHO is seeking to procure the DT-Titan and the DT Phase One Rainbow Multispectral Imaging (MSI) system (or equivalent system). These digitization platforms will be leveraged to efficiently digitize textual, photographic, filmed material, and 3-D objects (hereafter “materials”.) The Rainbow MSI system will augment the DT Titan by additionally capturing light from a range of wavelengths - visible and invisible to the human eye - across the electromagnetic spectrum using special camera technology, light sources, and filters. The Rainbow MSI system will deliver in-depth insights into materials, pigments and other traces in documents, paintings, and artifacts, without physical contact with the object. The Rainbow MSI system allows the VA History Office to capture, digitize and make available information from damaged records to include fire and water damage. These products will assist in meeting the access needs of our customers and meeting the requirements for VAHO strategy for digitizing materials for public access.
