Questions due : January 7, 2021 - 2 PM EST The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Enterprise Operations, Data Center Operations, requires an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) maintenance contract to provide monthly equipment preventative maintenance (PM), Quarterly UPS Batteries PM's, scheduled battery replacements and 24/7 emergency parts/repairs. The UPS system is the most critical system of several systems required to maintain electrical service for the computer room. If UPS system does not operate 100% of the time (i.e. not even a microsecond loss of electric power), the computer room "will" go down, all IT services cease, it will take several days to restore service to computer room, nine (9) million Veterans will be impacted immediately, certain IT data will be permanently lost, will take hundreds of VA staff 24/7 to restore computer room, and cost Government up to $2M "per" day while operations are being restored (e.g. 3 to 5 days).
