The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is in the midst of a major Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) which supports the VA Secretary’s Strategic Plan (Goal 4: VA will transform Business Operations by modernizing Systems & focusing resources more efficiently to be competitive and to provide world-class Customer Service to Veterans & Employees). This requirement is to acquire a supply chain solution (SCS) that provides enterprise-wide supply chain visibility to conduct national supply chain activities, real-time data, and reporting while reducing manual processes for the four (4) RRCs in the final state. This solution must be able to enable collaboration with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and support Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), which is being implemented by the VA Logistics Redesign (VALOR) Program Management Office (PMO) into the VA Medical Centers (VAMCs). VHA requires Subject Matter Expertise and Logistics Systems Integration support services to ensure the Supply Chain workforce is prepared to meet the needs of tomorrow’s VHA supply chain. The current Supply Chain lacks proper readiness and is unable to keep up with the continuing needs of its customers.
