Enhance physical safety for personnel working in the Uninterruptable Battery Supply (UPS) battery room. A layer of Lexan©, or other polycarbonate or acrylic material, will provide enhanced safety for personnel, and protection for the UPS batteries. The material must be lightweight, flame-retardant, non-conductive, craze-resistant, and easily removable for servicing the batteries. The proposed action is to manufacture and install these safety barriers across the front of the battery racks.
